Faculty Positions
School of Computer Engineering
Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore invites applications for a number of tenure-track or tenure appointments within the School of Computer Engineering to commence by 1st August 2012. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines. Appointments at assistant and associate professor levels will be considered.
The School seeks individuals with exceptional promise for, or a proven record of, research achievement who will excel in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, while assuming a position of international standing in their field of research. Candidates must have vision and an interest in defining (a) the research frontier as well as (b) the education of next-generation leaders in this rapidly evolving field. Applicants should demonstrate the ability to combine theoretical knowledge with practical development of computational solutions and systems within one of the following, or closely related areas:
Digital Systems: custom computing architectures, reconfigurable computing, system-on-chip, multi/many-core processors, electronic design automation for architecture-aware synthesis.
Cyber-Physical Systems: networked embedded systems, robust and safety-critical systems, hybrid systems for real-time computing, embedded software, system-level design and optimization, reliability-aware design and fault tolerance.
Computer and Information Security: hardware security, software security, cyber security, computer and information forensics, system dependability & security, system vulnerability analysis, program security analysis.
Software & Information Systems: software engineering, software testing and performance evaluation, agile software development methodology, programming languages & compilers, operating systems, software usability, formal methods and verification, enterprise information systems, decision support systems and business intelligence.
The School of Computer Engineering has undergone a major curriculum revision and re-alignment of research areas, and is supported by modern teaching and research laboratory facilities. In line with University’s vision, the School has identified Medical Informatics and Systems; Secure and Pervasive Cyberspace for Virtual Living; and Sustainability Informatics and Systems to be its strategic research thrusts.
