The new School of Art, Design and Media (ADM) at NTU is the first comprehensive professional Art School in Singapore launched in July 2005. This is where the creative dreams of young Singaporeans can be realized through world-class education.
The new School offers 6 undergraduate degrees. Its curriculum is focused on creativity, ideas, innovation, exploration and professional expertise. The School puts forward international thinking, exposure, visiting artists, scholars and presenters, student and faculty exchanges and global relations. ADM aims to shape exciting education that draws upon contrasts and richness derived from the very best of different cultures, ideas, creativity, arts, history and global thinking. Asia is the fastest expanding vibrant market in terms of evolving educational programs, co-production, production endeavors, technologies and opportunities for international exchanges.
We provide students with the knowledge and the tools to develop and produce ground-breaking creative artworks. We provide a studio-based professional education in a comprehensive university setting. ADM also promotes Singapore’s creative culture and identity, and is positioned to play a central role in the transformation of Singapore into a regional center of media and creativity.
Faculty Appointment at Associate / Full Professor Level
We invite applications from qualified candidates keen to contribute towards shaping all academic areas of the school to apply for a faculty position as either Associate Professor or Full Professor. Successful applicants will contribute to the School’s development, the undergraduate and graduate curriculum and inventive pedagogical development as well as to the development of a research-driven mission with the arts, design and media disciplines. Applicants are sought with strong interdisciplinary research and teaching experience with national or international recognition. The School of Art, Design and Media provides excellent opportunities for funded research, and excellent facilities for creative work, design practice, and media production.
A terminal MFA or PhD degree and a strong record of research, professional practice or scholarship are preferred. In lieu of a terminal degree, the applicant must possess strong exhibition, screening, performance, research or publishing record. Applicants with a background in interdisciplinary practice and research are preferred.

The School of Art, Design and Media is positioned as an international, creative, original concept-driven and idea-focused educational environment, one that projects its innovative approaches through its pedagogy, and exposure to world’s thinking, arts, cultures and ideas. Hence, we seek international candidates with global interests, exposure, experience, values, commitment and passion for projecting such values to students, chosen for their creativity and academic scholarship, to become outstanding artists, designers, animators, filmmakers, new media artists and even entrepreneurs. The School has interdisciplinary undergraduate programs in Digital Animation, Digital Filmmaking, Interactive Media, Product Design, Photography and Digital Imaging and Visual Communication. The School is implementing Master of Fine Art Programs in several areas and a Dual Degree Master of Interactive Design in partnership with Domus Academy of Milan, Italy.
