Mrs Chong Mei Eng, Director, OGEM
The Office of Global Education and Mobility (OGEM) within the Student Academic Services Department is guided by a clear mission to advance student knowledge and learning through global experience. To achieve this, it strives to foster meaningful global engagements by designing, spearheading and supporting global initiatives and overseas programmes that increase NTU’s global visibility and international mobility of NTU students.
In preparing NTU students for the challenges of a globalised society, the university has placed great emphasis on offering multiple global pathways, including GEM Explorer Semester and GEM Discoverer Short Term programmes, to help them venture abroad for a global education experience and develop long-lasting relationships with the international community.
Our local students also benefit when NTU receives a high quality, culturally diverse and inclusive international student cohort, contributing to the cultural vibrancy in campus. Through the many cultural “melting pots” created within the campus, our students will be able to better appreciate cultural diversity and develop cross-cultural intelligence.
I would strongly encourage our students to acquire a global edge by taking advantage of our Global Education & Mobility (GEM) initiatives to study, work or conduct research at some of the most renowned partner institutions in the world.
Become a global citizen. Be part of the GEM initiatives.
