1. Why are the changes being implemented to the car park system at NTU?
The demand for parking facilities is consistently high at the car parks of Zone 1 and some car parks in Zone 2. This situation has led to an increase in car park congestion that obstructs traffic flow and thereby posing accident risks to drivers and pedestrians. The changes are necessary in order to regulate the high demand for parking facilities in such car parks and minimize the risks of accidents.
2. Why is Hall 7 pegged at Zone 2a rate, unlike the other halls?
The car park at Hall 7 is within the academic area and is charged the rates for this zone.
3. By when do I need to apply for the new Zone 2a season parking?
All season holders in Zone 2 will be switched to Zone 2b by default. If you continue to park in Zone 2a car parks, you will be charged hourly parking rates. Any season holder who wants to apply for season parking in Zone 2a, will have to cease their current season parking and re-apply through the on-line system from 14 Sep 2012.
If you wish to change your car park zone, please apply from 14 Sep 2012. All applications for season parking should be submitted by the 25th of the month in order to start season parking from the 1st of the following month.
4. Where and when can I park for free at the NTU campus?
Car parks in the Zone 3b are free of charge all day. Zone 1 car parks are free of charge after 10 pm, while Zone 2a, Zone 2b and Zone 3a car parks are free after 6 pm. All car parks are free of charge on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.
5. Any grace period for drop off?
