Registrar’s Office
The Registrar’s Office (RO) is the custodian of undergraduates’ academic records. Besides this, we provide academic services for undergraduates in areas ranging from course registration to convocation. We also work closely with Schools and Colleges in implementing policies on academic matters. Our mission statements are given below:

We provide an enabling service environment for our undergraduates from the time of matriculation to graduation in the areas of:

We support and advise on academic policies and procedures.
We are deeply involved in the academic experience of all undergraduates throughout their stay in the University. We are responsible for the two rites of passage ceremonies in university life – the Freshmen Welcome Ceremony to induct new students, and the Convocation Ceremony that celebrates and marks the achievements of our graduates as they leave the hallowed portals of the University, ready for the world.
We aim to provide quality academic services to all undergraduates. We are attentive to the needs of the University’s constituents and regard all with respect. We seek to maintain integrity, high standards and professionalism in our work. We work in active collaboration with colleagues in the Schools and Colleges and the various departments in the execution of academic policies. As stewards of students’ academic records, we ensure judicious management of student data. We leverage on technology for accurate and timely processing of academic information, and effective communication to facilitate decision-making. We are committed to continuous improvement and innovation towards service excellence.
Matriculation
We administer academic and related services for freshmen who just joined NTU, which include online matriculation, the issuance of matriculation cards, registration for Qualifying English Test (QET) and Freshmen Welcome Day.
Change of Programme
An existing student is allowed to change programme within NTU, subject to the approval of the School(s) of both the current and new programme. The student may apply for change of programme in 2 application periods. For more details click here.
Registration
We provide administrative support for registration /de-registration/ add / drop of courses online.
Examinations
We oversee the organization and administration of the undergraduate examinations and the conferment of degrees.
Exchange Programmes
We provide administrative support to the Local Exchange Programme – Singapore Universities Students Exchange Programme (SUSEP) and non-graduating students on a fee-paying scheme.
Medals and Prizes
We administer the issuance of medals & prizes to undergraduates, for example the Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal and Koh Boon Hwee Scholars Award, amongst other medals and prizes to reward outstanding academic and extra-curricular achievements of NTU students.
Convocation
We organize the annual Convocation ceremonies for graduands and provide support to the NTU convocation ceremony held in China. The ceremonies celebrate the academic success and outstanding achievements of NTU’s graduates.
