3. Is OBS compulsory? If I could not attend the OBS, can I still attend the module sessions?

Yes, OBS is compulsory. The 3 days 2 nights OBS team bonding programme serves the purpose to build strong team spirit, and to spur the participants to leave their comfort zones, be resourceful and react quickly to adversity. Most importantly, this programme accelerates the learning momentum of students as they are expected to attend EN101 sessions immediately in the following week.

Students, who are unable to participate in the OBS programme due to medical reasons, are encouraged to attend as an observer. This is to aid the affected student in familiarizing with his/her future batch mates while contributing in their thought process. Physical activities are NOT allowed for students who attend as observer.

Students who fail to attend the OBS programme without prior notification will be automatically withdrawn from this minor. Only approved Medical Certificate or Letter-of-Excuse can permit the affected student to be immediately accepted in the next upcoming intake.

Note: (1) Approval comes from NTC management
         (2) MC is to be submitted to programme administrator within 2 working days after the date

              OBS.

It is to highlight that an additional effort is thus required to knowing your new batch mates since the dynamics and learning pace differs per batch.

To defer a particular module, students are required to request for the deferment form from the programme administrator at least 5 working days prior to the commencement of the module. Students may face an ¡®F¡¯ awarded to the registered module should he/she failed to provide an early notification on the intention to defer.

NOTE: All deferment forms will be submitted to the NTC management for approval on a case-to-case basis. Supporting documents is required to be submitted along with the form. Rejected deferment forms require students to attend the affected module or he/she will be awarded an ¡®F¡¯.
