Reservations 

Rules

  • You are only allowed to make reservations for books which are out on loan, on hold or on order.
  • Note that any reservation made on an item which has the status of "available" (ie. not on loan) will be deleted without further notification.
  • Reserve (red-spot) books cannot be reserved.
  • You cannot place a request for an item which is currently on loan to you.
  • Online reservation is limited to 10 items at a time.
  • On notification, collect the book reserved within 6 days from the date indicated on the reservation notice. Books not collected will be returned to the shelf or given to the next person who has reserved the same item.

Procedure for making reservations

You can make reservations through the Library Catalogue.

For library materials which have been loaned out or have the status On Hold, please use the Place Hold option. For more information, please read the instructions.

To reserve periodicals/journals, titles which are on order and titles comprising of multiple volumes, fill in the reservation form available at the loan counter and hand it to our counter staff or using the Reservation Form.
