Closed Stack Item and Theses Request Service

Closed stack items are kept in the library archives.  Please complete the request form in advance so that the item can be retrieved and reserved under the requester’s library account.

Conditions:

  • Users can request for three closed stack items and/or theses at any one time.
  • Users have to collect the item in person from the Service Desk. 

Theses have to be collected and used within Lee Wee Nam Library only and must be returned to the Service Desk before closing time.  You can borrow up to a maximum of three theses at a time. Note that certain confidential theses cannot be borrowed.
 

Turnaround Time & Pickup Location

  • This service is available from Monday–Friday only (excluding Public Holidays).
  • Requests submitted on Saturdays will be processed the next working day.

For example: if a request is submitted on Tuesday morning, the user should be able to collect the item by Thursday morning at Lee Wee Nam Library; Friday morning if the pickup location is at the other libraries. 

  • You will be notified by email or phone when the item is ready for pick up.
  • Please collect the reserved item within six days.

  • Eligible users can request for this service by filling up the closed stack request form (Word format).
  • Request forms are also available at Lee Wee Nam Library and Business Library Service Desks. 
  • Please save and email it as an attachment to circulation@ntu.edu.sg.
  • You will be informed about the status of your request by email.
  • NOTE: For closed stack AV materials, please approach Business Library Service Desk in person or email busl@ntu.edu.sg for assistance.
