We have about 400 computers at level 2 and level 4 of Lee Wee Nam Library and 130 computers at Business Library. Computers are also available at the ACRC, ADM Library, Chinese Library, and Humanities & Social Sciences Library. Please note that the use of Library computers is governed by our Computer Use Policy.
Library computers are for users to access e-journals, databases and other electronic resources subscribed by the Library. Standard software such as Microsoft productivity suites (MSWord, Excel, Powerpoint, etc) are also installed in these computers. The wallpaper on the computer desktop is changed regularly to publicise library resources or events and the IE browser has been configured with a standardised toolbar highlighting links to important library resources & services for users' convenience.
A row of computers situated at level 3 of Lee Wee Nam Library are designated for access to non-networked databases and these titles are represented by the standalone icon
on the title listing on the database webpage. Please enquire at the Service Desk regarding the booking and use of these stand-alone computers.
There are also Express Terminals located at the entrances of all libraries for users to do quick searches on our Library catalogue.
