Subject librarian responsibilities :
- Provide specialist reference service so that users have one point of contact for linguistic-related queries.
- Design and deliver subject-specific content for library workshops so that users are aware of library resources specific to linguistics.
- Develop a Linguistics collection that meets users’ needs.
- Develop and collate subject-specific information sources keeping users informed of library services and resources related to linguistics.
Operational Responsibilities :
- Assist Head, Access Services Division in the development, implementation and administration of library operational procedures and service standards in collaboration with subject libraries to ensure quality library services.
- Manage the library’s membership and access services so that users are offered membership privileges appropriate to their information needs.
- Plan, develop and implement library emergency response measures so that users can do their research within a safe and secure environment.
Work Experience :
Oi May joined NTU Library in 1998. Prior to joining Access Services Division in 2009, she was with the Acquisitions Division and Circulation Services Division in NTU Library.
