Subject Librarian for Language and Communication Skills:
- Develop library collection for allocated subject areas
- Select library materials for procurement or subscription
- Coordinate subject resources
- Provide instruction on literature searching and information skills training in subject areas
- Provide consultation, reference and advisory services on information searching and resources
- Act as the library liaison person for Linguistics and Foreign Languages in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Operational Responsibilities :
- Manage circulation and access services
- Management of loans
- Facilities management
- Plan and coordinate interlibrary loan cooperation among local and foreign libraries
Areas of Interest :
- Linguistics, language acquisition, semantics, discourse analysis,interpersonal communication, intercultural communication
- Foreign languages especially Korean and Japanese
About Myself :
- Prior to joining the Circulation Services Division, I was with the Acquisitions Division in the NTU Library.
- I like to read! I am especially interested in Asian American literature and the history of the overseas Chinese community. I also enjoy surfing the internet, blogging and reading e-newspapers from around the world.
