Subject Librarian for Computer Science :

• Develop library collection
• Select library materials for procurement or subscription
• Coordinate subject resources
• Provide instruction on literature searching and information skills training in subject areas
• Provide consultation, reference and advisory services on information searching and resources
• Act as liaison person for Division of Computer Communications and Division of Computer Science in the School of Computer Engineering
• Perform library Reference Assistance Desk duties

Operational Responsibilities :

• Manage and administer the Library Management System (LMS provided by SirsiDynix)
• Manage and administer the LMS add-on modules and integrated applications (WebOPAC, Director's Station, Syndetic Content, SIRSI Rooms, SIP)

About Myself :

I joined the NTU Library in Oct 2003 after receiving my MSc(Information Studies) degree from the School of Communication & Information(SCI), NTU in July 2003.

Before that, I worked in Shanghai and Singapore in different fields for a few years after obtaining my BSc(Industrial Design) degree from the School of Civil Engineering & Mechanics, Shanghai Jiao Tong University(SJTU) in July 1998.

During my spare time, I like to play tennis with friends (not anymore because all the players in my group have left Singapore, so sad:(, swim, watch movies, travel around the world, and take landscape photographs.

Since year 2005, I start to practice Yoga which is considered as an effective method to relax and de-stress after a whole day of work (although I am not so diligent in practicing it :).

Last but not the least, I enjoy listening to soft rock, new age and pop music. And I am a big fan of Avril Lavigne, Scorpions, Enigma, and Eason Chan.
