Subject Librarian for Civil Engineering & Maritime Studies :
- Develop library collection
- Select library materials for procurement or subscription Coordinate subject resources
- Provide instruction on literature searching and information skills training in subject areas
- Provide consultation, reference and advisory services on information searching and resources
- Library liaison staff to the School of CEE
Areas of Interests :
- Issues relating to the World Wide Web, e.g. quality of info, accessibility etc
- Information literacy
- Searching for technical standards
About Myself :
Though a civil engineer by training, I started out with a local shipyard and subsequently joined a foreign MNC and was based at their Regional Office in Singapore. Prior to joining the Library, I was with the School of CEE.
I am married with 2 children. During my leisure time I like to read (in particular on the great battles of WWII) and also catching up on the latest in the world of sports, e.g. on golf, soccer & NBA. Like most Singaporeans, I also enjoy eating and travelling. |
