Subject librarian responsibilities :

Build good relationship with users and understand their information needs.

Develop library collection and subject resources to support learning needs and increase quality research output.

Develop and conduct information literacy training and subject tutorials to help students become proficient information seekers and users.

Provide consultation, reference and advisory services on information searching and resources.

Promote awareness and use of library resources & use of subject resources.
Operational Responsibilities :
- Responsible for the operations of Lee Wee Nam Library so that the information needs of academic staff and students are well supported with quality facilities and services.
- Strategize, plan and coordinate outreach activities and development of the Engineering Subject Library so that users are more aware of library services.
- Oversee and coordinate training activities of all library staff.
Work Experience :
After graduating with a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Kong Meng started his engineering career with a local shipyard and later with a foreign MNC working at their regional office in Singapore. Prior to joining NTU Library, Kong Meng was the Senior Manager with the NTU School of Civil & Environmental Engineering. Kong Meng became the Head of the Engineering Subject Library in 2007 and took over the operations of the Lee Wee Nam Library in 2010.
