Subject librarian responsibilities :
- Maintain effective communication between the Library and the Division of Environmental and Water Resources Engineering, School of Civil and Environmental Engineering so as to support their information needs.
- Develop library collection, select library materials for procurement or subscription and coordinate subject resources for user research and learning.
- Provide specialised subject area research assistance and library instruction on literature searching and information skills.
Operational Responsibilities :
- Catalogue library materials in different formats to provide user efficient and accurate access using the library catalogue and NTU digital repository system (DR-NTU).
- Manage and monitor bibliographic processes to ensure timely access for users to library materials in different formats.
- Provide advice and assistance to the NTU community about metadata organisation, production and maintenance.
Work Experience :
Lena has worked several years in building construction and the oil and gas industry before joining NTU Library in October 2007.
