Operational Responsibilities :
Instructional Services
- Responsible for the management of the Instructional Services Division that provides
campus-wide library instructional programmes to empower staff and students with the necessary information literacy and research skills for their study, research, teaching and work.
- Responsible for ensuring that all instructional resources pertaining to information and research skills are relevant and easily available to the university community, thus facilitating independent learning and improvement in research and academic writing skills of the university community.
- Oversee the development, management and maintenance of instructional facilities so that library instructional classes are conducted in a well equipped and conducive environment.
Scholarly Communication Group
- Support Scholarly Communication initiatives and services that :

supports the creation of scholarly works by the university community |
| b. |
engages the university community in scholarly communication |
c. |
collects the intellectual output of the university with the aim of preserving them for future use |
| d. |
promotes the scholarly output of staff and students |
Work Experience:
Janice’s first stint as a librarian started when she joined the National Library Board in 2000 and was posted to the library@orchard until 2005. She was later transferred to the Lee Kong Chian Reference Library where she was contributing to the arts collection and services until 2007.
In 2007, Janice joined Elsevier as an Account Development Manager where she worked closely with libraries in South East Asia to train and promote the use of Science & Technology databases like ScienceDirect, Scopus and Reaxys. During her time with Elsevier, Janice was also involved in several user engagement activities such as LibraryConnect Seminars, Young Scientist Awards and Research Excellence Forums.
Janice joined NTU Library in Feb 2010 to head the Instructional Services Division. She was also appointed Assistant Director of Scholarly Communication Group in Jan 2011 to assist and contribute in projects and initiatives pertaining to the scholarly communication processes for NTU.
