Subject librarian responsibilities :
- Develop library collection for Business Law to ensure that users are provided with relevant and critical resources to support their research, teaching and learning.
- Coordinate subject resources so that users have access to relevant information.
- Provide instruction on literature searching and information skills in subject area so that users may conduct their research proficiently and efficiently.
- Provide consultation, advice and guidance on information seeking, literature review and research process to help users improve their information literacy and seeking skills.
- Act as library liaison person to Division of Business Law in Nanyang Business School so that information needs of the division are met.

Operational Responsibilities :
- Assist the Head of Instructional Services Division in developing strategies for implementing campus-wide Instructional Programmes and developing course structures, curricula and outlines for subject specific Basic and Advanced Research Instructional Programmes so that users are proficient in library research methods and use of information resources.
- Develop and deliver instructional classes on the use of bibliographic management software (e.g. EndNote), so that students and staff are proficient in their use in organising their research materials.
- Provide technical support, including installation, development of connection and style files and filters, troubleshooting and consultancy on the use of EndNote so that users are able to get help and support quickly.
- Develop and coordinate the development of print and/or online end-user training materials for self-learning or reference by users so that they are able to learn library and information skills.
- Support the Head of Instructional Services Division in coordinating and supporting professional staff in their instructional work and progress the Scholarly Communication Agenda as part of the Library Scholarly Communication Group.
| Work Experience :
Prior to joining NTU Library, Lee Yen had taught English Language, Literature and Communication for several years, including 2 years at a private university in Niigata, Japan.
