Subject Librarian for Contemporary China:
- Develop Chinese collection
- Select library materials for procurement or subscription
- Coordinate subject resources
- Provide instruction on literature searching and information skills training in subject areas
- Provide consultation, reference and advisory services on information searching and resources
- Act as liaison person for Chinese Division of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences
Operational Responsibilities :
- Catalogue and classify print and non-print library materials
- Perform authority control work to maintain consistency in use of headings
- Manage and monitor bibliographic utilities
- Monitor the physical processing, binding and preservation
- Perform library Research Assistance Desk duties
