Subject librarian responsibilities :
- Develop library collection in assigned subject areas so that users have access to resources for their learning, teaching and research activities.
- Provide reference and advisory services on information searches and subject resources.
- Promote library resources to create awareness for users.
- Act as liaison person between the Library and the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering to support their information needs.
Operational Responsibilities :
- Catalogue print and non-print materials to facilitate searching of library resources.
- Enrich bibliographic records so as to provide more useful information in catalogue records to users.
Work Experience :
Alexis worked in one of the research institutes in Agency for Science, Technology and Research (ASTAR) for several years before pursuing her MSc(Information Studies) at NTU. Prior to joining NTU, she was a public librarian and subsequently, a reference librarian at NLB.
