​Operational Responsibilities​ :

  1. Assist Head, Access Services Division in the development, implementation and administration of library operational procedures and service standards in collaboration with subject libraries to ensure quality library services.
     
  2. Support the management of the library’s membership and access services so that users are offered membership privileges appropriate to their information needs.
     
  3. Oversee document delivery and interlibrary loan services to obtain materials for users.
       
  4. Oversee the reference advisory/ask-a-librarian service to support the information needs of the NTU community. ​
     

​Subject Librarian Responsibilities :

  1. Provide Linguistics and Multilingual Studies (LMS) faculty, staff and students with personalized information services relevant to their disciplinary needs and norms, e.g. information mediation, research assistance, information literacy instruction, publishing support, co-curricular learning events, etc.
     
  2. Engage and communicate with LMS faculty, staff and students to keep up to date with course assignments, research interests, co-curricular activities, information behaviours, etc., so that services and resources can be continually updated and well suited to current needs and preferences.
     
  3. Within the specific context of LMS, operationalize new capabilities and programmes developed by NTU Libraries to support academic staff and students. ​
     

Work Experience :

Prior to joining Access Services Division in 2009, she was with NTU Libraries’ Acquisitions Division managing donor materials and overseeing the acquisition of Chinese materials. When she was with the Library’s Circulation Services Division, she helped to oversee the day-to-day operations of the department. Currently, she is managing and supervising the work of the Access Services Division team at NTU Libraries.​
