The International Student Centre (ISC) offers international students a variety of social activities, outings, workshops and other programmes designed to help international students adapt to living in Singapore, and learn about other cultures from one another.
ON-CAMPUS
Coffee Sessions
Gather with fellow students and network with staff at our regular Coffee Sessions. Each session has a different theme, be it educational or cultural. Take this opportunity to broaden your horizons beyond your textbooks.
International Café – ISC Lunch Gatherings
Drop by for lunch with a difference at the ISC! Enjoy cuisine from around the world amidst conversation with friends new and old, and all for an affordable price.
Barbecue Sessions & Pizza Nite
Connect and mingle with fellow students, both international and local, over a leisurely meal. If you like barbecues and pizza-&-pasta etc, you will enjoy the spontaneity of these gatherings.
Talks
The ISC conducts orientation talks for all new international students which provide important information as they adjust to NTU and Singapore. You will be informed about the schedule of talks prior to joining NTU.
We also organise the annual Pre-Graduation Seminar for graduating international students, where useful information like job search and housing in Singapore are shared.
The ISC will inform you of these talks and invite you to attend them at the appropriate time during the semester.
OFF-CAMPUS
Outings
Singapore may be small but there are countless places for you to explore. Take a trip to ethnic enclaves like Little India, Arab Street and Chinatown; venture into the mystery of the world's first Night Safari; or even experience the rustic charm of Pulau Ubin, offshore of Singapore!
Dine Off-Campus!
Join ISC staff for a meal off-campus. Eating is an unofficial pastime in Singapore, and we invite you to partake in the delicious cuisine that is to be found on this island.
Host Programmes
Multi-ethnic Singapore has a population of Chinese, Malays, Indians, Eurasians and others. Our Host Programmes give you the chance to experience how a typical Singaporean home and family is like.
Join your host family as they celebrate a festival, or over an outing or weekend meal. This cross-cultural exchange will show you how Singaporeans live together in harmony and unity despite the differences in ethnicity, cultural practices and religious beliefs.
Other Activities
Besides the ISC, there are other Student Organizations on campus which offer you a buffet of activities. Click on the links below for more information:
