For close to two hours in the afternoon of 3 February 2009, the ISC Lounge at the International House rocked to a rousing Bhangra beat! Organised by the International Student Centre (ISC), a roomful of international students gamely gave the celebratory dance a go guided by volunteers from the NTU Sikh Cultural and Literary Society. And just as popular as the addictive Bhangra beat were the traditional snacks served, including gulab jamun, an exotic and sweet dessert.

Entitled “It’s Bhangra time”, the event brought together students of diverse backgrounds, promoting friendships across cultures.
