In recent years, there has been an explosive growth in developing new efficient algorithms to represent multiscale signals and images by exploiting the sparsity of these signals or images. At the same time, there is another exciting area called adaptive data analysis.

Many problems in images, vision and scientific computing  can benefit from these ways of thinking.

This conference will bring experts to exchange ideas and identify new research opportunities for these emerging research areas. The invited talks cover a wide range of applications and introduce the most recent research results. It is suitable for experienced as well fresh rsearchers in the field of data analysis, image processing, computer vision and animation as well as scientific computing.

This conference is in conjunction with the "IMI International Workshop on Computational Photography and Aesthetics, 12-13 December 2009".
