IAS is inviting Prof Kerson Huang from Massachussetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to visit NTU and he will be appointed as a Nanyang Professor for a period of 2 years.
Prof Huang is a Chinese-American theoretical physicist, who is currently Professor of Physics Emeritus at MIT. He is the advisor to IAS/SPMS Proteins Folding Research Project. During his visit, he will be involved in Biophysics, High Energy Physics and Statistical Mechanics projects, as well as the 2nd International Science Youth Forum to be held at Hwa Chong Institution in Jan 2010. He will also have discussions with Prof Ho Peng Yoke on the setting up of the Centre for History of Science.
