Most people
start their official page with their picture, name and position. There
are some who don't bother with the picture and still others who put up other pictures than theirs, a wolf for William Kahan
for example!
A list of things they've done or are doing is the next part you
usually see. Jonathan Shewchuck is one of the few I've come across who's
actually written some sentences there in the beginning of his
page. On the other hand, you see Peter O'Neil 's start with two words, his research interests! People are different. This was mine!
