Hopscotch Terms Dissected

Hello! Welcome to Hopscotch Terms Dissected!

On 19 January 2005, my group in CS227 Web Design and Management module in Nanyang Technological University came up with around 50 terms related to Hopscotch, the popular childhood game. These terms were written on index cards. Our friend, who requested to remain anonymous, helped us with the process of sorting these cards into categories. This allows us to find out where users expect to find the terms in the website. This exercise helps us in building the website because we can then tailor the website to the user’s preferences.

The exercise met some difficulties (see the “Miscellaneous” section for details) and I refined some of the terms to make them clearer.

Presented in this website is the categories that the card sorters have come up with, as well as some of our miscellaneous observations during the exercise.
