Dean’s List NUS,
Dr.
Lou’s current research interests focus on hollow structures,
nanostructured materials for applications in lithium-ion batteries, supercapacitors, photocatalysis,
electro-catalysis, water treatment, etc..
If
you are interested in these areas, you are welcome to contact him or any group
members below to learn more about this group.
Dr. David Lou is currently an Associate Editor for Journal
of Materials Chemistry A (JMC 2011 IF = 5.97). High-quality
manuscripts about nanostructured materials (mainly inorganic or hybrid) are
welcome by his editorial office. In general, interesting properties or
applications of the nanostructured materials need to be clearly demonstrated in
addition to the novel synthesis of nanostructured materials. David Lou will try
his best to make a decision for most manuscripts sent out for review within 4
weeks since the manuscript is assigned to him. Please send email to materialsA@rsc.org
regarding any JMC-A matter.

To prospective group members: A minimum necessary requirement for
graduation with a PhD from this group is to accumulate 20 IF (impact factor) points, and at least 14 of which should be earned
from first-author publications. For example, a student earns X points if s/he
publishes a paper as the first author in a journal with IF of X (X/2 and X/3
points as the second and third author respectively). A RF is expected to
contribute at least 10
points a year as the first author.
Position Openings
Self-motivated ambitious young people with backgrounds in
Nanomaterials, Lithium-ion Batteries, or any related fields are welcome to
contact me for possible post-doc/Research Fellow positions.
Note: Please don’t contact me
if you are not truly passionate about this type of research, or if you just
treat the position as a job.
