My student, Ms. He Yajuan received this award for the following two papers she authored with me: Y. He, C. H. Chang, J. Gu and H. A. H. Fahmy, ※A novel covalent redundant binary Booth encoder§ and Y. He, C. H. Chang and J. Gu, ※An area efficient 64-bit square root carry-select adder for low power applications§. The VLSI*95 committee selected 24 regular papers out of 48 submissions and from the high quality submission, the VLSI*95 programme committee selected 5 candidates for the VLSI*95 best paper award.
