I am a faculty member in the School of Computer Engineering at the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. My research interests are machine learning with applicaitons to sovle real-world challenges across several fields, including multimedia infomration retrieval, big data ming, social media, web search and mining, computer vision and pattern recognitioin, computational finance, and bioinformatics, etc.

Dr. Steven Hoi is an Assocaite Professor in School of Computer Engineering of the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He joined NTU as an assistant professor in 2007, and was promoted as tenured associate professor in 2013. He received his Bachelor degree from Tsinghua University, and his Master and Ph.D degrees from Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research interests include machine learning and data mining with applications to sovle challenges of various real-world information systems, including multimedia information retrieval, social media, web search,, computer vision and pattern recognition, computational finance, bioinformatics, etc. He has published over 100 papers in premier conferences and journals, and served as an organizer, area chair, senior PC, TPC member, and referee for many international conferences and journals.
