Club Information

Lifesaving is a multi-disciplinary sport which combines lifesaving skills and athletic abilities. Our primary role is to provide lifeguards for school activities.

Lifesavers, more commonly known as lifeguards, are the first responders to any water-based rescue. Lifeguards play a major role in ensuring that pool users are aware of water safety, and in preventing accidents from happening.

Competitive lifesaving utilises the skills learnt for humanitarian purposes and are applied in a competitive environment. Competitions are held annually with the purpose of honing lifesaving skills and maintaining good physical fitness of our lifeguards.

  • We provide lifeguard services for student activities held at the NTU SRC Pool i.e. Freshman Orientation Camps, Inter-Hall games etc., assisting the NTU pool staff to supervise the pool during operating hours. Please contact us at for lifeguard services.
  • Qualified lifesavers seeking paid part-time lifeguard duties at the NTU SRC Pool may contact the pool supervisor, Mr Seng Chiau Teck at 67905169. Alternatively, you may send an email to
