The Work and Study programme combines an internship with studies. Students may select from one of these countries:

  • China
  • India
  • Indonesia
  • Vietnam
Nature of the programme:

Work Component 

Upon the successful completion of a 22-week overseas internship, students will earn academic units that count towards the Industrial Attachment /Professional Attachment /Professional Internship. The internship is subject to prevailing rules and regulations, and the university's system of assessment for internships and attachments.

10 academic units will be awarded upon the successful completion of the Work component:

  • For Engineering students, these 10 AUs will be graded and counted towards their Industrial Attachment.
  • For NBS students, 4 AUs will be used for their Professional Attachment while the remaining 6 AUs will be used for GER-UE requirements.
  • For SPMS students, the academic units awarded will be the same as their local internships.

Study Component

The study component comprises a specially tailored course at a partner university on the culture, economics, contemporary history, politics and language of the host country. Upon sucessful completion, students will earn 6 academic units that count towards GER-PE (HSS) or GER- UE requirements.

  
Tuition Fees:

Singaporean or Singapore PR students will be given partial scholarships and will pay a nominal fee to the host university over and above NTU tuition fees. International students will pay the full fees charged by the host universities on top of NTU tuition fees.
