A short film by students of NTU’s School of Art, Design and Media (ADM) was selected and screened at the opening of the 19th European Union Film Festival on 7 May 2009 at the Golden Village, VivoCity. The Guest-of-Honour was RAdm Lui Tuck Yew, Acting Minister for Information, Communications & the Arts.
The film, “Sacred Cranes Mortal Birds”, screened before the main feature film ‘Wolf” (from Sweden) was the creative work of Boo Xinying, Kenny Tan and Joseph Peng from ADM.
Six other short films by ADM students will be screened from 8 May to 17 May 2009 before the screening of acclaimed films from member countries of the European Union. The inclusion of work by NTU students is a testament of their creative talents and impressive potential in the world of film-making.
