The Centre's role in technology exchange is to facilitate information exchange by inviting prominent professionals and world-renowned experts to conduct seminars, workshops and short courses for transportation professionals. The Centre also organises and co-sponsors conferences in areas of specific interest to transportation professionals.
In May 1994, an international conference on Advanced Technologies in Transportation and Traffic Management was organised by CTS. The 3-day conference attracted more than 200 delegates from 26 countries.
In September 1998, CTS organised another international conference entitled Transportation into the Next Millennium . A major highlight of the conference was the technical visits to the Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) control centre. The conference was well received and attracted about 150 participants from 19 countries.
