If you are applying for a graduate degree programme by coursework, then in addition to the prescribed courses, you will need to undertake a project on which a dissertation will be written. However, for most programmes, the dissertation can be replaced by a few extra courses. The programme of study involves formal classes, lectures, tutorials, seminars, laboratory work and written examinations.
Classes are usually held in the evenings from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm. Depending on whether it is full-time or part-time programme, classes range from once per week to four times per week.
