Linear Algebra II: Linear transformations and their matrix representations, kernels and images. Eigenvectors, eigenvalues, diagonalization. Inner products, inner product spaces, orthonormal sets, Gram-Schmidt process.
Ordinary Differential Equations: First-order ordinary differential equations (ODEs). Second-order ODEs, oscillation and damping, series solutions of ODEs.
Objectives
Linear algebra II and introduction to ordinary differential equations for Science and Engineering scholars.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to:
a. Understand concepts of abstract vector spaces.
b. Solve the first-order and the second-order ordinary differential questions.
