Internet Advertising Policy & Guidelines
  1. The Corporate Communications Office and the Centre for IT Services manage the general pages of the NTU website. The individual school/office manages its own website. Companies interested in advertising on a particular webpage should liaise directly with the school/office who owns the webpage. (Please contact Helpdesk at helpdesk@ntu.edu.sg if the ownership is unclear).

  2. No advertisement will be accepted on the NTU homepage.

  3. The school/office should accept only advertisements which are beneficial to the NTU community, eg. job opportunities for students, special offers for NTU staff and students etc.

  4. Advertisements or links to government agencies or websites deemed useful to the NTU community at large (eg. Local news, transport guide etc.) may be provided free of charge. The school/office should decide based on the merit of each case, and should obtain permission from the owner of the information.

  5. The school/office should take into consideration how the advertisement will affect the overall aesthetic, browsing experience and loading time of the webpage.

  6. All advertisements must conform with the laws, the prevailing advertising acts and standards of advertising in Singapore.

  7. Advertisements promoting a certain ethnic group, religious group, political group, social organisation or nation over others are not acceptable.

  8. Advertisements with dynamic content are not acceptable.

  9. The advertiser is directly and solely responsible for the content of the advertisement.

  10. NTU reserves the right to reject advertisements considered inappropriate for an educational institute funded by the government, or advertisements with unacceptable wordings, images, animations, video or other media content.

  11. At all time, NTU reserves the right to review, suspend, terminate or remove any advertisement.

  12. The school/office may use the guidelines listed in the Guidelines on Charges section below for charges.

  13. Advertisement must be provided by the advertiser in acceptable digital format. Special and customised advertisement sizes and format are subjected to approval by the school/office concerned.

  14. Advertisement for the same slot will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis.

  15. The advertiser has to approve a quotation form issued by NTU giving the billing details.

  16. The school/office concerned will bill the advertiser through the Office of Finance on a monthly basis.
