Getting Started for New Staff
  1. Getting Connected
NTU has high-speed campus-wide wired and wireless computer networks. There are over 20,000 networked personal computers for use by students and staff throughout the campus. Staff may also remotely connect to the campus network via about 300 dial-up lines or via subscribed services of internet service providers. Every staff housing unit in the campus is also equipped with network points. Find out from the Set Up My Computer section on the recommended computer specifications and how to configure your computer to use it on campus or from home. These include settings of network card, web broswer, Outlook client and printer.

  2. NTU Mailbox and Email Address
Every staff is given a NTU email box with 1.2GB storage. A staff's default email address is his network account username appended by @ntu.edu.sg. Staff may choose to personalise his/her email address. However, the personalised email address will end with @pmail.ntu.edu.sg. Access to the email box can be via Outlook Client or Web Access, via the campus network or remote access. Find out more from the Email & Messaging section.

Notifications will be sent to your email account whenever a new posting or announcement is posted to the mailing lists you have subscribed. You may unsubscribe yourself or subscribe to other mailing lists, please refer to Email & Messaging for more details.
