Title: Computer Virus and IT Security

Duration: Two morning sessions (3 hours each)

Pre-requisites: Familiar with Microsoft Windows OS and/or DOS
 
Objectives: To understand the importance of IT security and the various types of computer viruses.
To understand how a PC can be infected.
To understand the preventive and corrective action for fighting virus

 

Description: Computer viruses spread quickly. Some viruses simply cause annoyance while others can damage programs and data files. Viruses can be prevented by understanding them and taking preventive and corrective actions. Taking positive steps towards good practice in computing can protect your information assets.
