Where can I publish my event?

Schools, offices and student clubs may publish official events in NTU Event Calendar and/or Campus Buzz, the weekly e-newsletter for students.

How can I reach out to all students?

CampusBuzz is a weekly email newsletter on the latest happenings inside and outside of campus. The content of the e-newsletter is generated automatically from NTU Event Calendar on a weekly basis. All NTU students and NIE trainee teachers are pre-subscribed to this e-newsletter. Hence schools, offices and student organisations are strongly encouraged to make use of Campus Buzz to publicise their events or activities to the student community.

Appointed school or office administrators, and authorised student club officials with NTU-issued role-based accounts can upload event details on their own in the NTU Event Calendar via the NTU Event Calendar Admin Module (see sections below for more details). The events will then be automatically compiled into Campus Buzz on a weekly basis. Campus Buzz is sent out by Student Affairs Office (SAO) every Thursday or Friday evening to notify students of events happening in the following week (as well as upcoming events for the next one month). Hence, publicity information should be uploaded latest by every Wednesday. For further enquiries, please contact sao-fa@ntu.edu.sg.

Who can publish event in NTU Event Calendar and/or Campus Buzz?

Only appointed school or office administrators, and authorised student club officials with NTU-issued role-based email accounts (eg. ClubXYZ-Secretary@ntu.edu.sg) can self-publish their official events via the NTU Event Calendar Admin Module.  NIE staff and students may seek assistance from NIE Service Desk servicedesk@nie.edu.sg to publish their official events in NTU Event Calendar and/or Campus Buzz.

For details on how to apply for right to use the NTU Event Calendar Admin Module, please refer to the section below.

If you need to publish an official event urgently but do not have the access right to do so, student clubs may contact sao-fa@ntu.edu.sg, while schools or offices may contact helpdesk@ntu.edu.sg for assistance. However, you are expected to apply for access right for the publication of any subsequent events.

    (2
)   Did you click the option for "Campus Buzz" while creating your event?

Please also note that your should NOT copy and paste content directly from documents like MS Word. This is because some hidden codes might be copied over and might cause problem in content generation for Campus Buzz email. The proper way is to copy the text content to a Notepad (text) file, and then copy from the Notepad to the Event Calendar placeholder. This will eliminate all hidden codes from the content. Alternatively, you may type your content directly into the placeholder.

Images and attachments (if any) should be uploaded to the server folder. Please refer to the User's Guide on how to do so. Thumbnail image should not exceed the dimension 80x80 pixels, otherwise it will appear distorted in the Campus Buzz email.
