Where can I publish my event?

Schools, offices and student clubs may publish official events in myNTU personal portal and the NTU website under the various sections like Campus Events, Conferences, Seminars and Talks or Event Calendar. Events published in the Event Calendar with students as the target audience will also be automatically published in Campus Buzz, the weekly e-newsletter for students.

Who can publish event in NTU website and myNTU portal?

Only appointed school or office administrators, and authorised student club officials with NTU-issued role-based email accounts (eg. ClubXYZ-Secretary@ntu.edu.sg) can publish their events via the eNewsReader Admin Module.

Student clubs who do not have NTU-issued role-based email accounts have to first apply online via StudentLink (details in section below). Staff, as well as student clubs who already have NTU-issued role-based accounts may check with helpdesk@ntu.edu.sg on whether your accounts (NTU-issued role-based accounts for student clubs, personal account for staff) have been granted the access right to use the eNewsReader admin module.

If you need to publish an event urgently and you do not have the access right to do so, student clubs may contact sao-fa@ntu.edu.sg, and schools or offices may contact wwwadm@ntu.edu.sg for assistance.

How can I reach out to all students?

CampusBuzz is a weekly email newsletter on the latest happenings inside and outside of campus. The contents of the e-newsletter are generated automatically from NTU online Event Calendar on a weekly basis. All NTU students and NIE trainee teachers are pre-subscribed to this e-newsletter. Schools, offices and student organisations are strongly encouraged to make use of Campus Buzz to publicise their events or activities to students.

Appointed school or office administrators and authorised student club officials with NTU-issued role-based accounts can upload event details on their own in the NTU online event calendar via the eNewsReader Admin Module. The details will then be automatically compiled into Campus Buzz on a weekly basis. Campus Buzz is sent out every Thursday or Friday evening for events in the following week and upcoming events for the month. Hence, publicity information should be uploaded latest by every Wednesday. For enquiries, please contact sao-fa@ntu.edu.sg.

How can I apply for access to use eNewsReader?

For student clubs, access to eNewsReader is only granted to NTU-issued role-based accounts (eg. ClubXYZ-Secretary@ntu.edu.sg). Student clubs who do not have any NTU-issued role-based email account need to first apply online via StudentLink
. NTU-issued role-based email accounts are available in blocks of 20 accounts at $13.90/block/year. For account application details, please check here. Note that each club can have only one NTU-issued role-based account granted to access eNewsReader for accountability reasons. The President of student club may apply online from StudentLink -> IT Services -> Student Club Website and Email Accounts Application. [Note: Student clubs whose Presidents are NIE students (who cannot access StudentLink) need to apply using this PDF form.]

Staff appointed by the school or office to publish events can apply for their personal accounts to be granted access to eNewsReader via the online application form in StaffLink -> Resource Request -> IT Services -> Email/Network/Web Account -> Apply for Staff Computer Account. In the form details, choose the option 'Others' and specify that you wish to be granted access to eNewsReader Module. Your application should be routed to your supervisor for approval. Schools and offices are strongly encouraged to use role-based accounts for event publicity. Role-based accounts enable flexibility and ease of change in personnel or job responsibilities.
