- The Bare Bones Guide to HTML by Kevin Werbach. A quick reference guide to HTML codes. Check out the introduction to the guide. A plain text version is also available for cut-and-paste reference during web page creation.
- References on how to type in special characters on the Web. The guides are extracted from "Giving Your Characters Character", an article in Webreview.
- Browser-safe Colours (by hue): These are the 216 colours that will look the same regardless of the browsers and platform you use, be it Macintosh, PC or Unix. If you use them for your background colour, text colour, and graphics, you can be sure that the viewer will see the exact colours you intended them to see.

- MySQL: MySQL is a relational database management system. It is a Open Source SQL database provided by MySQL AB. MySQL is very fast, reliable, and easy to use. It also has a very practical set of features developed in very close cooperation with our users. MySQL was originally developed to handle very large databases much faster than existing solutions and has been successfully used in highly demanding production environments for several years. Though under constant development, MySQL today offers a rich and very useful set of functions. The connectivity, speed, and security make MySQL highly suited for accessing databases on the Internet.
- The Perl site: The main site for the Perl language. Do check out its tutorial page for online courses and references on Perl, CGI, etc.
- Php.net: PHP is a server-side scripting language for creating dynamic Web pages. PHP's programming syntax is very similar to that of Perl. Because of its elegant design, PHP makes it easy for anyone to learn. It is significantly easier than comparable Perl or ASP Code. Unlike other scripting languages, PHP supports the most common databases like Oracle, Sybase and MySQL. It is also possible to integrate external libraries to generate PDF documents or parsing XML PHP is an open-source language and is supported by a large groups of delvelopers.

- Free Surveys Sites
- Surveymail: Free tool on NTU website for NTU users. Allows storage of replies into a text file for manipulation e.g. from spreadsheet or database software later.
- SurveyMonkey: A basic subscription is totally free and includes all of the basic features of SurveyMonkey. It's a great option for individuals, students, and anyone who doesn't need the advanced features of SurveyMonkey. Unlike other services, there are no annoying banner ads on your surveys. In addition, all of your survey responses remain absolutely private. Please note that basic subscribers are limited to a total of 10 questions and 100 responses per survey.
