About Cover Sheets
When you send a fax, a default
Cover Sheet will be used if you have entered a message in your message body of the email. However, if you have only enclosed an attachment with no message in the email, no Cover Sheet will be sent. In this case, only the attachment will be faxed. The fields in the cover sheet are taken from NTUmail system.
Advance Options (for Advanced Users)
The fax system allows you to specify fax options using simple commands embedded in your email message body. These options should be entered at the top (first) line of the email message body. The command is preceded by a double colon :: Recipients of the fax will not see these commands in the received fax. Both single command and multiple commands (multiple commands must be on the same line separated by commas) can be used. These commands will work on both Outlook client and Outlook Web Access (Webmail).
Specifying a Cover Sheet
You can specify to use a particular cover sheet. The command is ::C=coverpage where coverpage is the name of the cover page. For example to use the cover page for Centre for IT Services the command line ::C=CITScover.rtf is entered at the top (first) line of the e-mail message body.
A list and preview of available cover sheets for the various Schools/Departments can be found here:

You can set a custom personal header to be added to the default fax header at the top of the fax. The command is ::fh=header where header is your own custom header (spaces allowed). An example is ::fh=MPE CADD Lab. Please use this command at the top (first) line of the e-mail message body. (back to top)
Scheduling Your Fax
You can schedule your fax to be sent by the system at a later time. The command is ::hh:mm where hh is the hour and mm the minutes. Please use the 24 hour format.
