For new application of Free lifelong alumni email wef 1 March 2011 mailboxes offered will also be on Windows LIVE . The logon id and email address of the LIVE account is in the form username@e.ntu.edu.sg

STUDENT mailboxes on Windows LIVE -  1 Mar 2010
Student Network Account issued wef 1 March 2010 will come with mailboxes hosted on Windows LIVE (i.e. not offered NTU hosted mailboxes). The logon id and email address of the LIVE account is in the form

Pilot Testing of STUDENT mailboxes on Windows LIVE -  2 Nov 2009

Staff Default Mailbox Size to be Increased - 22 Oct 2009
Staff default mailbox size is increased from 200MB to 500MB! With Enterprise Vault (Email Archival) each staff mailbox quota is now 5.3GB (500MB + 4.8GB)

Pilot Testing of Exchange 2007 for STAFF mailboxes -  1 Oct 2008
We had just started with our pilot testing of Exchange 2007 for STAFF. This version promises very rich graphical interface when accessing mails via webmail.

Staff Default Mailbox Size to be Increased -  1 Sep 2006
Staff default mailbox size is increased from 150MB to 200MB!

Receive Emails Pushed to You While on the Move! -  1 Aug 2006
Our Exchange Servers are now Push-Mail ready! With the latest Windows Mobile 5.0 using Messaging and Security Feature pack (MSFP) and a GPRS connection, it'll allow you to always receive up-to-date emails while on the move - automatically and instantly too.

Student Default Mailbox Size to be Increased -  14 Jul 2006
Student default mailbox size will be increased from 25MB to 100MB in the new academic year! 
 
                
 
The new quota will be enabled in phases and is expected to complete by end July.
 

Content Indexing -  17 Oct 2005
The Public Folders and staff mailbox content is now indexed. This means that you can now search for text within an attachment and make use of full-text index searches. To make use of this, just search using Outlook or Webmail like you have always done so. The difference is in the results!


Out of Office Message -  1 Jun 2005
The Out of Office message will now be delivered to both non-NTU recipients as well as NTU recipients. Previously, the Out of Office message was only delivered to NTU users to minimise spam. We are now combating spam with spam filters instead. 
 

Staff Default Mailbox Size Increased -  9 Mar 2005
Staff default mailbox size has been increased from 100MB to 150MB. Staff who had applied for an increased in mailbox size which is less than 150MB, have been automatically upgraded to 150MB. Those who had applied to have a mailbox size greater than 150MB, will have their mailbox size unchanged. 
 

Outlook 2003 HTTP on RPC with Windows XP SP2 - 21 Sep 2004
If you're running Windows XP SP2 (Service Pack 2) with Outlook 2003 client, you can now connect to the Exchange server over the internet without using VPN! This new feature is achieved in Outlook 2003 through the use of RPC over HTTPS. To get started, check out the

E-mail Maximum Send Size Increased from 5MBytes to 10Mbytes  - 29 Jun 2004
Need to email large project files? Yes, now you can with a new upper limit of 10Mbytes per e-mail!
 

Outlook 2003 HTTP on RPC - 3rd Quarter 2004
Users of the desktop Outlook 2003 client will soon be able to connect to the Exchange server directly over the Internet without having to first connect to the campus VPN. This new feature is achieved in Outlook 2003 through the use of RPC over HTTPS.
