I just wanted to take a minute to let you know that Ms Chen Yihui, IT executive, did a fantastic job.

After my request to CITS, she made an appointment via mail quickly to attend to my request. And she was punctual as mentioned.

She was very patient with my questions and explained in simple ’IT’ language so that I can understand.

She never hesitate or showed signs of displeasure when I had multiple questions. She is very quick with her fingers, attending to my requests.

I would like to express my personal appreciation and complements to her. I hope that she will bring her enthuasium and patience to all users like me to experience a quality service.

Very helpful staff being sent to assist me in solving my networking problems. The staff spent about one and a half hours (from 5pm to 6.30pm) at my hall room to assist me with the problem although it is likely to be past his work time.

I would like to commend on the efforts of Jeremy Tan. He was helping me transfer my computer from a 2008 model to a new model as there was a buzzing sound emmited from the computer. For the first time, Jeremy helped to remove the graphic card and today, he helped to transfer all my documents to my new laptop. As the process took almost 2.5 hours, Jeremy still stayed and helped until everything was completed (4.30pm-7pm). I am very appreciative as it is beyond the working hours of 5.15pm on Friday.

My hard disc was not usable and Jeremy took the effort to use a share point system to do the transfer. Basically, he was responsible to see that things get completed well.

I also hope that CITS will recognise Jeremy as an exemplary staff and also thank CITS for always responding promptly to all my queries and feedbacks.

I would like to say thank you to Jovani (Helpdesk) for his professionalism.
I am truly grateful for his initiative in taking the effort to follow up by calling to find out if
there is any progress in solving the problem.

Basically I called on Wednesday night as my hall internet connection was down.
I asked for a solution and was told that the problem could only be resolved in 2-3
working days. I was quite upset upon hearing that as it would mean that I would not be
able to use the Internet for my homework should I needed to. However, since it was
already past office hours, I just hoped that the problem could be resolved the next day.

On Thursday morning, (today) I received a phone call from Jovani asking if my internet
resumed. I mentioned that I was in class and he offered to call me again in the afternoon
as I told him I would only go back to hall then.

I returned early and managed to contact him and solve the problem.

I would like to applaud his gracious attitude and patience in assisting with finding the
problem and solving it despite my impatience.

Great job. :) Thank you.

I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation for the prompt and excellent work by Mr Jeremy Tan Choong Chia on Monday 6 Dec 2010. He responded to my call for help in recovering some critical documents. He came immediately and was instrumental in retrieveing the important work files.

In addition, in my other encounters with CITS, he has been very helpful. For eg. in ensuring my system has updated virus scan, as well as facilitating my request for additional admin privileges. During the period of awaiting approval, he kept me updated of the process.

He was very clear in his explanations of the procedures and process. I am very grateful for his patience.

I would like to commend Jeremy for going beyond his call of duty, and his outstanding customer service skills and communication skills.

I would also like to add a note about Ms Zhang Ai Hua, who is always very prompt in responding to my queries. My other colleagues in Development Office have also expressed similar sentiments about her great work attitude and responsiveness.

They are definitely great assets in CITS.

On 20 Aug 10, I requested the Applications team for a list of email addresses of full-time postgraduate students urgently, copying my email request to the IT Operations team. However, the Applications team officer Mr. Loh Koah Fong was out of the office. Nevertheless, the IT Operations team, which has no access to student records, assisted me by referring my request to Helpdesk. To my pleasant surprise, before the Helpdesk could respond, Mr. Loh responded within the same morning with the required email list.

These are not my only good "moments of truth" with the CITS. I passed up the opportunities to commend the CITS team officially in the past. This time round I feel it would be remiss of me to remain passive about conveying my accolades.
