Aims 'n Stuff
Why it came about?
The newsletter was set up up with dual objectives:
To promote effective use of the NTU Computing facilities
To disseminate general information on information technology
Target Audience
The publication is meant to be read by all (academic, admin. and non-admin.) staff and students. As such, ease of comprehension is paramount, and so the articles should not be too technical.
Editorial Make Up
Traditionally, the chief editor is the Divisional Director (IT Operations) of the Centre for IT Services (CITS). Certain staff from the CITS and NIE CSC will then be selected to form the core pool of writers. From time to time, contributions from other staff and students are also featured in the publication.
In September 2009, the Divisional Director (Applications) took over as the cheif editor.
