Attachment Programmes

Invitation for offer of placements for Industrial Attachment (IA) from 11 January to 12 June 2010 is open. Deadline for submission: 30 June 2009

Invitation for offer of placements for Industrial Orientation (IO) from 10 May 2010 to 17 July 2010 is open.      Deadline for submission: 28 December 2009

For third year students from the six (6) engineering schools:

• School of Civil & Environmental Engineering (CEE)
• School of Computer Engineering (CE)
• School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE)
• School of Materials Science & Engineering (MSE)
• School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE)
• School of Chemical & Biomedical Engineering (SCBE)
• Division of Bioengineering (BIE)
• Division of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering (CBE)

The various attachment programmes/periods:

• 22-week Industrial Attachment (IA) from January to June (main period) or July to December. Placements will be sourced by CAO.
• 10-week Industrial Orientation (IO) from May to July. Placements will be sourced by students or CAO.
• 30-week Enhanced Industrial Attachment (EIA) from January to August. Placements will be sourced by students.

To participate, please complete the appropriate Response forms and Programme forms of each discipline:

• For 22-week IA, Response form (DPA.F10), and the appropriate Programme form (DPA/30) for each school CEE, CE, EEE, MSE, MAE, CBE, BIE
• For 10-week IO, Response form (DPA.F10), and the appropriate Programme form (DPA/30) for each school CEE, CE, EEE, MSE, MAE, BIE, CBE
• Alternatively, you could submit the programmes to our office online via AIMS@NTU (URL: http://www.ntu.edu.sg/opawww/aims/).

For third year Maritime Studies students.

The attachment programme is as follows:

• 10-week Industrial Immersion (II) from May to July.

For third year students from School of Physical & Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) which consists of the following three (3) divisions:

• Chemistry & Biological Chemistry (CBC)
• Mathematical Sciences (MAS)
• Physics & Applied Physics (PAP)

The internship programme/periods for the three divisions:

• 22-week Industrial Internship from July to December for CBC students.
• 22-week Industrial Internship from Jan to June for CBC and PAP students.
• 12-week Industrial Internship from May to July for MAS students.
• 10-week Industrial Internship from May to July for PAP students.

8 or 10-week Professional Attachment (PA) from May to July.

Business students specialise in one of the following: Actuarial Science, Banking & Finance, Human Resource Consulting, Information Technology, Tourism & Hospitality Management or Marketing.

For third year students from the School of Arts, Design & Media (ADM).

There are 5 period of internships, though most students are available for period 3 & 4 as listed below.

Period 1: 7 Dec 2009 to 8 Jan 2010 (5 weeks)
Period 2: 11 Jan to 12 June 2010 (22 weeks)
Period 3: 10 May to 17 July 2010 (10 weeks)
Period 4: 10 May to 12 June 2010 (5 weeks)
Period 5: 21 June to 24 July 2010 (5 weeks)

ADM students specialise in one of the following: Digital Animation, Digital Filmmaking, Photography & Digital Imaging, Interactive Media, Product Design and Visual Communication.
