Attachment Programmes
Most undergraduate courses at NTU emphasize the importance of practical training. Students are required to undergo a period of attachment, varying from 8 weeks to 24 weeks, in a private or public organisation locally or overseas during their course of study in NTU.
See below for attachment and internship programmes for the following students:
Attachment for Engineering Students

Invitation for offer of placements for attachment from 5 January to 6 June 2009 is open.
Deadline for submission: 30 June 2008.

For third year students from the six (6) engineering schools:
The various attachment programmes/periods:

22-week Industrial Attachment (IA) from January to June (main period) or July to December. Placements will be sourced by CAO.

10-week Industrial Orientation (IO) from May to July. Placements will be sourced by students or CAO.
-
30-week Enhanced Industrial Attachment (EIA) from January to August. Placements will be sourced by students.

For third year students from School of Physical & Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) which consists of the following three (3) divisions:

12-week Industrial Internship from May to July for MAS students.

Attachment for Accountancy & Business students

Invitation for offer of placements for attachment from 11 May to 18 July 2009 will be open in Sep 2008.

For second year Accountancy and Business students from the Nanyang Business School (NBS).
8 or 10-week Professional Attachment (PA) from May to July.
Business students specialise in one of the following: Actuarial Science, Banking & Finance, Human Resource Consulting, Information Technology, Tourism & Hospitality Management or Marketing.

Many of the organiations which have repeated participated in the attachment programmes have cited the following benefits derieved:
- opportunity to evaluate and recruit potential employees,
- additional manpower to supplement existing staff, and
- fresh ideas and perspectives from enthusiastic students.
Besides, participating organisations are also fulfilling their social responsibility by working together with the university to train future employees for the industries.
