You must seek approval from SAO if you are organising any activities eg. events, talks.
A) Local Activities
To begin, complete the
Event Application Form and submit it together with a proposal to SAO. This should be done preferably 1 month in advance.
A typical proposal contains the following heads:
- Date, Time and Venue
- Target and Size of Audience
- Objective
- Programme/Schedule/Timeline
- Layout plan of proposed area (if applicable)
- Publicity
- Budget (Cost and Quantity, Expected Income and Expenditure)
Risk Assessment Plan (necessary for at-risk activities)
After the activity is completed, you are to submit a
Post Event Report with photographs to SAO within 2 weeks.
B) Overseas Activities
Submit the
OEP Application Form to SAO 3 to 6 months before the proposed trip. Please read the
OEP FAQ before filling in the form. In-principle approval must be sought for the OEP before conducting any recee/reconnaissance trip.
OEP Application must be accompanied by the following documents:
- Risk Assessment Plan
- Emergency Plans
- Budget (Expected Income and Expenditure)
Travel Insurance Declaration Form
The following post-trip submission is required:

Sports Clubs and sports-related organisations/teams under the purview of Sports & Recreation Centre should contact your respective Sports Officer in Sports & Recreation Centre for approval prior to embarking on trips.
