Weiqi is an intellectual, but fun game. It is much more complex than any other chess. It helps to improve one’s concentration, memory and creativity. It develops one’s systematic thinking skill and sense of judgment. The previous NTU Weiqi team has a proud tradition of winning several national tournaments such as Lanke Cup. The new Weiqi club is at the beginning stage of building a strong foundation for players to improve. Systematic coaching and step-by-step guidance will be adopted for selected, interested members. The team is looking forward to become the strongest team in Singapore and participating in international tournaments.
