Application procedure
HALL APPLICATION FOR AY11/12 ENDS ON 11 APR 11, MONDAY, at 1730hrs.
LATE SUBMISSION WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED.
The next allocation of waiting-list will be released as and when vacancy is available. The current processing point for male is 13 and female applicant is 14. We will only notify those who are successful in each batch of allocation. Thank you for your patience.
If you are assured of a place in a Hall of Residence under the University Sports Scheme [PDF | 127KB] or are on the University CN Yang Scholars Programme or January intake of NTU Undergraduates and NIE Student Teachers, you must still apply online.
Notes on using HOLA
- Only one application per student will be accepted. You may make as many changes to your application and re-submit as many times as you want during the application period. Only the last submission will be considered. Please print the [Acknowledgement of Receipt] page for future reference.
- Only one roommate is allowed for your application. Make sure you and your roommate specify each other's particulars, ESPECIALLY: Matriculation No. in the "Particulars of Roommate" field. The system will not pair you together if the information is not correctly specified.
- Only one double room choice is given. Indicate your choice of Hall/Block/Room accurately. Invalid Hall/Block/Room numbers will compromise your application. Please refer to the respective hall layout for valid room numbers. If you apply with a roommate, please ensure that both of you have indicated the same room number. The system will not pair you together if the room number is different.
- Single rooms will be allocated by ballot to applicants who are successfully admitted to the Halls and who have indicated their preference for a single room.
- Applications not submitted by the closing date of application will not be entertained.
- Applications submitted by students who have been barred from hall accommodation will be rejected.
- An application fee of $16.05 will be charged for each application.
- An acceptance fee of $330.00 will be charged for successful applicants who do not reject the offer of accommodation by the closing date.
- By making an application, you agree to abide by the Rules and Regulations governing the halls of residence, having paid due attention to clauses 3b, 3d, 4a, 4b, 4c, 6a, 6b, 7b and 7c therein stated.
