Hall application fee
The Hall application fee will be deducted via GIRO.
You will be advised if GIRO deduction of the application fee is unsuccessful. Applicants who do not have a standing GIRO arrangement for fee payment with the Office of Finance will likewise be advised. You are required to present this advice to the Cashier, Student Services Centre, Level 3 and make payment of the application fee of S$16.05 (not refundable). The cashier accepts cash, NETS or cheque payment. Cheques are to be crossed and made payable to “NTU Hall of Residence”. Write your name and matriculation number on the reverse side. You are required to present the payment receipt to the Hall Office of your hall of first choice by 27 May 11 (1700hrs).
Hall acceptance fee
If you are successful in your application and have not rejected the offer of accommodation by the closing date, the acceptance fee will be deducted via GIRO.
You will be advised if GIRO deduction of the acceptance fee is unsuccessful. Applicants who do not have a standing GIRO arrangement for fee payment with the Office of Finance will likewise be advised. You are required to present this advice to the Cashier, Student Services Centre, Level 3 and make payment of the acceptance fee of S$330.00. The cashier accepts cash, NETS or crossed cheque payment. Cheques are to be crossed and made payable to “NTU Hall of Residence”. Write your name and matriculation number on the reverse side. You are required to present the payment receipt to the Hall Office (which made you the offer of accommodation) by 01 Aug 11 (1700hrs).
Notes on payment
Separate cheques are required for payment of application and acceptance fees. If GIRO deduction fails, deadlines for payment by cash/NETS/cheque will apply. Applications will be deemed invalid if payment of the application fee is not made by the respective deadlines.
Ensure that you have sufficient funds in your account before the scheduled GIRO deduction dates. This is especially important if you will not be in Singapore during the Semester 2 vacation.
