Attachment Programmes

Most undergraduate courses at NTU emphasize the importance of practical training.  Students are required to undergo a period of attachment, varying from 8 weeks to 24 weeks, in a private or public organisation locally or overseas during their course of study in NTU. 

See below for attachment and internship programmes for the following students:

     Attachment for Engineering Students


    Invitation for offer of placements for the 22-week Industrial Attachment (IA) from 9 January 2012 to 9 June 2012 is open.                                                                                                                                        Deadline for submission: 30 June 2011

    Invitation for offer of placements for the 10-week Industrial Orientation (IO) from 23 May 2011 to 30 July 2011 is open.                                                                                                                                            Deadline for submission: 15 December 2010

     

    For third year students from the six (6) engineering schools:

     

    The various attachment programmes/periods:

    • 22-week Industrial Attachment (IA) from January to June (main period) or July to December. Placements will be sourced by CAO.
    • 10-week Industrial Orientation (IO) from May to July. Placements will be sourced by students or CAO.
    • 30-week Enhanced Industrial Attachment (EIA) from January to August. Placements will be sourced by students.

    Attachment for Maritime Studies Students


    Invitation for offer of placements for attachment from 23 May to 30 July 2011 (10 weeks) is now open.

    Deadline for submission: 31 Dec 2010.

    Invitation for offer of placements for 10-Week IIP from 23 May 2011 to 30 July 2011 for MAS and PAP students is open. Deadline for submission: 15 December 2010

     


    For third year students from
    School of Physical & Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) which consists of the following three (3) divisions:

     

    The internship programme/periods for the three divisions:

    • 22-week Industrial Internship from Jan to June or July to December for CBC and PAP students.
    • 12-week Industrial Internship from May to July for MAS students.
    • 10-week Industrial Internship from May to July for PAP students.

    For second year Accountancy and Business students from the Nanyang Business School (NBS).

    8 or 10-week Professional Attachment (PA) from May to July.

    Business students specialise in one of the following: Actuarial Science, Banking & Finance, Human Resource Consulting, Information Technology, Tourism & Hospitality Management or Marketing.

    8 or 10-week HSS-PA Programme from May to July.

    HSS students specialise in one of the following: Chinese, Economics, English, Psychology or Sociology.

    24-week Professional Internship (PI) from January to June.

    WKWSCI students specialise in one of the following: Communication Research, Electronic & Broadcast Media, Journalism & Publishing or Public & Promotional Communication.

    Invitation for offer of ADM placements is open for attachment from 23 May to 25 Jun 2011 (5 weeks) and 23 May to 30 Jul 2011 (10 weeks).

    For third year students from the School of Arts, Design & Media (ADM).

    5-week or 10-week ADM Internship from May - Jul.

    ADM students specialise in one of the following: Digital Animation, Digital Filmmaking, Photography & Digital Imaging, Interactive Media, Product Design and Visual Communication.
