The demo was a dockerized Flask back-end server deployed on DigitalOcean and includes the implementation of Google’s powerful Natural Language Processing Model, its Universal Encoder, and a SQL database.

Description: As the only accounting hackathon in Singapore, the Challenge brings together the accounting industry, tech companies / start-ups and tertiary students to collaborate and co-create innovative solutions to address business challenges faced in the sector.

Capitalising on one of our team member’s accounting internship in the Ministry of Finance and his difficulty of conducting technical research, the team found value in sacrificing quantity for quality in creating a smart search engine and knowledge base instead of simply relying on generic search engines such as Google. They created a prototype using their technical work and skills and presented the idea to a group of over 200 accounting professionals and industry leaders.
